To be the leading non-deposit taking financial services provider in the country — building sustainable financial solutions where responsible borrowing and lending contribute to long-term prosperity.

— VANGUARD FINANCE LTD, VISION STATEMENT

Vanguard Finance Ltd is a non-deposit taking financial service provider registered in Rwanda, founded to make finance accessible to people the conventional financial system underserves — whether because they can't meet strict eligibility conditions, or simply can't wait through a long bureaucratic process.

We serve government employees, staff of private companies and NGOs, SMEs awarded tenders, and general traders and merchants — people and businesses with real, recurring financing needs that banks are often too slow to meet.

Our approach rests on six commitments: customer-centricity, financial inclusion, innovation and adaptability, sustainability, transparency and integrity, and community impact — the same six pillars that shape every product we build.

Our loan products

Eight products, one reducing-balance structure

Every facility is priced on the reducing balance method with transparent fees. Collateral can include employment contracts, joint guarantees, movable property, real estate, or a post-dated cheque — full terms are confirmed during your consultation.

01

Emergency Loan

Fast short-term credit for unplanned needs. 1-month tenor, reducing-balance interest, secured against employment contract, joint guarantee, or movable property.

02

Salary Loan

Credit against your regular income for employees of government, private companies, and NGOs. 2-month tenor, deducted directly where an employer MOU is in place.

03

Education Loan

Financing for school fees and education-related costs. 3-month tenor, structured around the academic calendar.

04

Home Equipment Loan

Credit for furnishing or equipping your home. 3-month tenor, secured against movable property or real estate.

05

Business Loan

Working capital for general traders and merchandisers to fund day-to-day operations. 3-month tenor.

06

SME & Company Loans

Larger facilities for SMEs and tender-awarded entities, including companies needing working capital to deliver on contracts. 6-month tenor.

07

Credit Guarantee

A guarantee facility supporting clients who need to demonstrate financial backing to a third party. 6-month tenor.

08

Credit Line

A revolving facility for clients with recurring or unpredictable financing needs. 6-month tenor.

Indicative pricing: total loan cost of ~5% (cost of funds, operating cost, risk margin, and profit margin combined), plus a 1.5% application fee and 1.5% administration fee. Late payments accrue 5% interest per month on a decreasing basis. Final terms are confirmed per client and product.
